Exact dates for the return of Manchester United Internationals

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that more internationals will be returning to training on tommorow Monday in preparation for the , start their pre-season campaigns.

Ole has been busy working with a youthful squad so far this month, playing two friendlies with a narrow win against Derby County and a heavy loss at Queens Park Rangers around a week-long training camp in Surrey.

Current manchester United squad at the moment only includes a handful of experienced first-team players, such as Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Mason Greenwood.

Many Manchester Unitedof players who competed at the just concluded Euro 2020 and Copa America have been on holidays with their families to ensure their mind is fresh and are recharged.

Speaking to MUTV, following Saturday’s loss to QPR, Ole revealed the United squad will be boosted on Monday and he is looking forward to welcoming them back, although they are unlikely to feature in next Wednesday’s game against newly promoted side Brentford at Old Trafford.

“It’s still a bit too early for them,” said Ole. “Many will join in training on Monday so they’ve got their catch up, a few weeks. That’s unfortunately the way it is, every year where there is a tournament, we have to catch up and hopefully they’ve done the work we’ve told them to do when they’re away.”

Solskjaer confirmed that all players who reached the international finals in the summer will return in 10 days’ time.

This will include England internationals Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and newly signed Jadon Sancho, as well as Brazilian midfielder Fred.

“The English players and Fred, the ones who went all the way to the finals in the Copa America and the Euros – they needed a longer break. They’ll be back with us in about 10 days’ time.”
