Bayern Leverkusen boss Peter Bosz has revealed that he knows which club Kai Havertz will sign for this summer and says that the deal is just waiting for “the decisive call from the relevant people”.
Kai Havertz is believed to be next midlfilder on fire like Frank Lampard or Stephen Gerard
The £75million-rated attacking midfielder has attracted the attention of other top clubs around Europe after scoring 17 goals in all competitions for Bayern Leverkusen this season.
Kai Havertz has been linked with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool – although Chelsea have for some time been considered favourites to sign the 21-year-old German interanation.
It is believed that negotiations between Chelsea and Leverkusen over Havertz’s signature are at an advanced stage, according to one report from Germany.
Bayern Leverkusen Head coach Bosz said Havertz was handling the transfer speculation well, but was coy when asked where his star player’s destiny lay.
“I won’t tell, it’s his business,” Bosz told German news agency DPA. “I talk to Kai a lot and try to sense what all this does to him – the daily transfer rumours, for example – and I notice again and again that Kai handles it very well.”
Asked if he knew when the expected move would happen, Bosz said: “It’s impossible to say.
Maybe the decisive call will come today, maybe next week, maybe not at all.”
