Reports indicate that Manchester United have moved a step closer to signing Jadon Sancho after agreeing an initial fee with the German club Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester united manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified the 20-year-old as the ideal transfer target this summer on the back of a superb season in the Bundesliga.

Bima Sport understand that Manchester United’s transfer plans will accelerate in the coming weeks after securing their place in next season’s Champions League following a Last day win against Leicester on the final day of the season in the premier league

Jadon Sancho has a preference to return to Manchester and Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola ruled out a return to the Etihad Stadium for the England international.

Reports in Germany suggest the youngster would be open to a move to Liverpool but Jurgen Klopp has also distanced the Merseyside club from the speculation.

The Independent claim that Sancho is now edging closer to a switch to Old Trafford after United and Dortmund agreed on an initial fee for the winger.

It is believed the German side will accept an initial £60million but the deal is expected to reach the £100m mark.

Other reports claim talks are still ongoing between the two clubs on how to structure the instalments.

Dortmund are now pushing for the deal to be completed as they have planned for Sancho’s departure and want their squad finalised before they return to training on August 10.
