Manchester United close to agreeing £42m Plus add-ons Raphael Varane deal

Manchester United are ‘very close’ to completing a deal for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane, according to one report.

The Spanish journalist Jorge Calabres told El Bunker podcast that Los Blanco’s defender Raphael Varane is closer to joining Manchester United this summer than he is to renewing his deal with Real Madrid

According to the report, that a bid of £42million plus add-ons would likely be enough to tempt Real Madrid to sell the defender

Other reports indicate that Spanish giants Real Madrid have agreed to sell Raphael Varane but only on one condition.

The 13 times champions leading want Manchester United flop Donny Van de beek in exchange for letting Varane leave the club.

The Dutch Midfielder has had a tough time at the theatre of dreams and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United will let him.

Real Madrid want to sign Van de beek on loan with an option to make the deal permanent after 12 months.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Anceloti is a believed to be a big fan of the Manchester united Midfielder

Donny Van de beek joined Manchester United in January at a fee of around £40m but has struggled to get into the starting 11 and Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has played him as a substitute

It remains t be seen whether United will agree to the deal
