Manchester United could be without both left-backs for their London trip to Crystal Palace on Thursday.

Left back Luke Shaw suffered a twisted ankle in the 2-2 draw with Southampton and his replacement Brandon Williams was forced off with a bloodied head after a collision with Kyle Walker-Peters.

Shaw, 25, has started in all 18 matches of Manchester United’s unbeaten run and the 19-year-old Williams has earned plaudits in his breakthrough campaign. “Luke twisted his ankle,” Ole said. “So hopefully we can have some good news on him after they’ve done the scan.”

United travel to Selhurst Park before their FA Cup semi-final with Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday evening and Diogo Dalot is the only available option to come in for Shaw and Williams, but has started just seven times this season and once in the Premier League.

The injury-plagued Dalot, 21, has not been included in any of the last nine league matchday squads and last lined up in a league game in October at Newcastle, where he came off injured.
