Man United have reportedly made a move for Juventus star Douglas Costa as they continue their search for an alternative to Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.
Sancho apparently has no problems in his personal terms with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester united and reports indicate that the only reason for the failure of a transfer is the fee itself.
Borusia Dortmund are believed to have refused to lower the player’s price of 120 million but united think this is too high considering that there has been a pandemic that affected businesses all over.
It seems United have given up on their pursuit of him as they have turned their attention elsewhere with Douglas Costa one of the options they are considering.
Douglas costa has shown from time to time that he is a capable winger and would fit well at united bringing in experience at a cut price.
According to Metro, Corriere dello Sport report that the Red Devils’ £27m bid for Costa has already been rejected by Juventus as they look for a fee closer to £36m.
Costa’s injury record and the fact he turns 30 soon does not go well either with Manchester United’s long-term strategy in the market but it is important that as one builds a tem, there are mature players around and experience to help the team
