Manchester United fans have urged united manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara amid reports he can leave the German champions for €30million.
The Spaniard has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United’s fierce rivals Liverpool but Liverpool are yet to make an official move for the 29-year-old.
Thiago has been an integral part of the Bayern Munich side who have lifted eight consecutive Bundesliga titles.
However, the midfielder has just one year remaining on his contract and is believed to be interested in a new challenge.
Bild report Bayern are willing to sell the former Barcelona man this summer to avoid losing him for nothing and will accept bids of €30m (£27.2m).
United have been mooted as a possible destination this summer and although BIMA Sport understand Ole is keen to sign a centre midfielder this summer, Thiago is not a priority target. He was linked with a switch to Old Trafford in 2013 after David de Gea wrote ‘See you in Manchester’ following a hat-trick for Spain’s U-21 side.
Fans have urged Solskjaer to make a move for his services as they believe a midfield trio of Thiago, Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba would be unstoppable.
