MANCHESTER UNITED have signed Filip Stevanovic from Partizan Belgrade for £10.9million, according to reports and are just waiting for unveiling of the explosive attacker.

Manchester United have reportedly won the race to sign Filip Stevanovic from Partizan Belgrade but how good is he and what will he bring to the team?

The 17-year-old midfielder performed well against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in the Europa League earlier this season.

The wideman came off the bench on both of United’s group L clashes with the Serbian side in October and November last year.

And the Red Devils were impressed and have signed him permanently, according to the Serbian Telegraph.

The report claims Stevanovic will stay with Partizan on loan next season but will be a Man Utd player.

Partizan wanted nearer £18m for their young star earlier in the season but are said to have accepted the lower amount because of the financial impact of coronavirus.

Stevanović will follow in the footsteps of Zoran Tošić – who moved from Partizan to Old Trafford in 2009 but stayed for only one season.

According to Serbian outlet Republika, United are set to sign Stevanovic for around £10.8million, and he will spend next season back on loan at Partizan.

We’ve brought you the lowdown on the talented teenager who could be heading to Old Trafford in the near future.

After making three first-team appearances in 2018-19, he earned a permanent promotion into Savo Milosevic’s senior squad in 2019-20.

Stevanovic became the youngest player to score in a UEFA competition for Partizan after scoring against Welsh side Connah’s Quay in the Europa League third qualifying round.

He then marked his first league start with a goal against Macva and provided nine goals and three assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.

The 17-year-old also played against United in the Europa League earlier this season, coming on as a late substitute in both group games.

Partizan confirm offer made

– “We have had an offer on the table for Filip Stevanovic for six months now, which is over €10 million,” Partizan coach Savo Milosevic told TV Happy in April 2020.

“Now the deal will be much more complicated, but if the team can pick up from where we left off [before lockdown] and he plays the way he did in the autumn, then I am sure that the price will return quickly.”

– “I am convinced that soon the whole of Europe will hear about him and that these goals will become a regular occurrence,” Milosevic said after Stevanovic’s strike against Connah’s Quay.
